Just this past week we were at Byng’s Roadhouse Pub in Cranbrook. Which was a pleasant surprise thanks to the work of Ferdy Belland getting the word out for our show with local Heather Gemmell and the Peaks. At first, I reckon the regulars of the Byng didn’t quite know what to make of us and particularly me with my asian rasta look with mocassins and medicine pouch on. Music is a universal language however, especially reggae with a couple Bob Marley covers thrown in. There was a good turn out of young folks and hippies (for a lack of a better term!), so it was quite a cross-cultural experience all in all! Poor Adam Parent (on the right) had to leave after the first set due to a stomach flu - he was a trooper, however, and made our first set count. Tim Parent (on the left) jumped at the opportunity to get behind the kit for the second set. What a talented bunch of brothers! Thanks to the Prins for housing us and their hospitality, mmm scotch good! Ferdy of course. Margie for running the venue. And Rod for the blog post (see the link below) and the great photos.
