Soul Shakedown Party - Victoria, BC November 7th 2014

On November 7th, we'll be getting down with the Ponderosas and the New Souls in Victoria. I'm really excited about this show since I've only played in that city a few times and have always enjoyed the vibe of the place and the people. This will definitely be our biggest show there to date and is being hosted by the Victoria Ska and Reggae Society who also run the Victoria Ska Fest in the Summer. So there will be some dancing for sure with this lot!! The company is going to be sweet, too. The Ponderosas are a fun bunch of lovely people, I'm looking forward to that ferry ride to the Island with them. I'm sure there will be a bit of jamming and shenanigans on the deck!!

Friday October 10th - ReBurn at the Vancouver FanClub

ReburnPoster.jpg

This Friday in Vancouver at the FanClub on Granville, we're having our Burning Man Reverbia Arts Fundraiser. There'll be a whole shwack of artists that have brought live music to the playa over the years, including Quetzal GuerreroYogoman Burning BandGabriel WolfchildMichael Fraser, and our band. Not to mention some smokingly hot samba dancers!!! For more information visit the facebook event.

I'm especially stoked that Quetzal is coming up from LA. We've been going to Burning Man together for years, and this past summer I joined his band for main stage performance at Oregon Country Fair. This time my band will back him up, and we're all stoked to play his incredibly groovy music.

Album Art from the Upcoming Album 'Precession' (Spring 2015)

The Indiegogo Campaign is finishing tonight at midnight, so there is still some time to contribute and be an early access supporter. This amazing art will appear on the CDs, vinyl, t-shirts and art prints.

My friend Danielle Caners created the most incredible art for the album based upon conceptual sketches I had of the Universe eternally being created and destroyed, which I superimposed upon the idea of our civilization constantly going through ages of advancement and degradation. This cycle is said to follow the 24,000-28,000 year cycle as we curve through space and different constellations appear in our night sky - this is known as 'precession' hence the title of the album.

Campaign ends tonight, Friday October 3rd at 11:59pm

Crowdfunding Wrap-Up & Missing You teaser

Last Few Days for my Indiegogo Campaign!!!

Many thanks to all the contributors so far, we’ve made quite a leap in the last couple days! The mixes are sounding great, some minor tweaking is happening to make it the most excellent it can be. This is a wrap-up for the campaign and sneak peak of ‘Missing You’ produced by adham shaikh. It features some collaborating between us at Artswells Festival as well as some live footage from Edge of the World Music Festival on Haida Gwaii this summer, and some recording studio shots too. Enjoy and Much Love!

Finding the Nature

image.jpg

This Monday at the Imperial Vancouver, our 'Finding the Nature' live music video trip to Tofino will premiere along with other Storyhive funded features. We filmed live renditions of 'Stubborn Man' and 'Stars Over Tokyo' on remote beaches to capture the beauty of nature. These songs address issues around the Alberta Tarsands and the Northern Gateway Pipeline, and post-Fukushima Japan.

Australian Tour and BIGSOUND Festival & Conference We’ve arrived in Australia for a mini-tour and attendance to BIGSOUND. This is part of our strategy to play longer tours and festivals in this awesome country. So far we’ve been enjoying Brisbane and will be spending the rest of the week mostly in Byron Bay. Super stoked, lots of good people abound there and the beaches are supposed to be gorgeous. We’ll play in Melbourne next Monday and will be back for the main part of the conference next Wednesday to hopefully impress some festivals, agents, and potential fans with our devilish good-looks and disarming dance moves. Look out Australia!!

We are half-way through our crowdfunding campaign and we are making good progress with raising funds to produce the CDs and vinyl. The mixes I have been getting back sound wonderful, I am so stoked to share them with you soon.
The purpose of my music is to uplift and inspire the spirit, and this is a mission I take on with a serious dedication to joy and gratitude. I offer my heart and my song to you, and humbly ask for your support in making the new record happen :)

Edge of the World Festival - Haida Gwaii

As we come to the end of our Summer Tour, I begin to reflect on the magic that we’ve been blessed to take part in. For all of us, being on the incredibly remote and gorgeously rugged Haida Gwaii for the first time is something we’ll never forget.

Apart from the natural beauty of the place, I was also very grateful for the amount of Haida First Nation in involvement and culture entwined with the festival. From the opening & closing ceremonies, to the presence of Native elders, families and youth, to the traditional food (oh my god!!!)…

It was a real pleasure to hang out with Said the Whale, Dirty Radio, Warless, Frankie, Barefoot Caravan, Don Alder and many more sweet folks.

Combined with Artswells Festival the weekend before, this was 10 of the richest days of my life. Freaking rad!!
